Cruising Along the Möll River

The Glockner Cycle Path

While mountains certainly shape our region, no uphill struggles are required to enjoy them. Families especially appreciate the mostly level Glockner Cycle Path (Nr. R8) that runs along the entirety of the Möll Valley. The path starts at the Jungfernsprung Waterfall near Heiligenblut, and takes you all the way to Möllbrücke (where the Drau Bike Path begins). The route is lined with stunning views of the Hohe Tauern mountains – starting with the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest peak.

For those with more athletic ambitions, there are plenty of mountain bike trails in Heiligenblut and the surrounding area. What they all have in common is the stunning panorama of the Hohe Tauern, dominated by the 3,798-metre high Grossglockner.
